How to request deletion of your account and personal data
Your Right to Delete Your Data
At Trellis, we respect your right to control your personal data. You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. This applies to all users, regardless of location.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your account and profile information (name, email, phone number, photo, bio)
- Your family profile and associated children's information
- Your posts, comments, and reviews
- Your messages and conversation history
- Your recommendations and meetup data
- Your photos and uploaded media
- Your notification history and device tokens
- Any data associated with third-party login providers (Google, Apple, Facebook)
What May Be Retained
In limited circumstances, certain data may be retained after account deletion:
- Legal obligations: Data required by law, regulation, or legal proceedings
- Fraud prevention: Limited records to prevent abuse and protect the safety of our community
- Anonymized data: Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics that cannot be traced back to you
How to Request Deletion
Option 1: Through the App
If you have access to the Trellis app, you can delete your account directly from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your account and data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Option 2: Contact Us by Email
Send a deletion request to legal@findtrellis.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your Trellis account so we can locate and verify your account.
Processing Time
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you at the email address provided.
